The "Ike-Bana" Project

Statement
Ike-bana is the result of a collective effort over the course of more than twenty days, inspired by the traditional Japanese art of flower arrangement bearing the same name. This project seeks to reinterpret concepts such as death, the need to seek refuge in a collective, the loss of that collective, and the continuous effort to form new communities.
This work was part of a collective show presented at O Gallery by Foj, February 24 – March 13 2023.
